Flatchr through its barometer of companies recruiting in 2020 has compiled a snapshot of the job market in the first half of 2020.
This study is based on the analysis of 200 French companies.
Here's an exclusive look at what we learn from this barometer, which will be released in its entirety on July 28, 2020.
It is no surprise that there is a sharp drop in the average number of offers published per company per month during the containment period.
This decline reaches its lowest level in April with 3.6 monthly offers compared to 7 in January, a decrease of 49%.
Since May, the number of offers published tends to increase and even returns to its pre-containment level. Thus, 6 job offers were published per month and per company in February and June 2020.
So the V-shaped scenario seems to be confirmed!
Also according to Flatchr, four job boards lead the way in bringing in the most candidates. Indeed tops the list of job boards to which candidates applied the most.
Second place is the Apec site, followed in equal measure by LinkedIn and Hello Work.
Available jobs were grouped into 3 main sectors. Leading the way, of the sectors that recruited the most in the first half of 2020 is that of trade and sales.
This is followed by that of transport, purchasing and logistics and then the reception and secretarial sector.
The situation has therefore stabilized overall but remains fragile;
As Valentin Konrad, CEO and co-founder of Flatchr, “we're crossing our fingers that we don't get a second wave of containment that turns the V into a W."
