Explaining the purpose of your startup is not simple, is it ?
However, at some point you'll have to come up with a simple way to explain your idea to attract future investors and customers (and candidates).
To make sure your content finds its audience, here are five ways to go.
1 - Clearly define your audience's problem
In terms of Inbound Marketing, your audience is segmented into Buyer Persona, i.e. customer profiles. To find out what they care about, visit blogs and forums to track recurring questions about your market.
To do this, simply search with key words for your topic (example: " home automation ") then forum.
The first results that will show up on Google will bethe most active forums that exist on that niche.
By going to these forums, you will have a clear view of your prospects' interests.
2 - Answering complex questions
Sometimes tough or complex, these questions can really help you start from your competition.
But this content needs to be top-notch to last and make a lasting impression.
3 - Alternate between tactical and strategic content
Strategic content provides the big picture, with its goals and guidelines while tactical content provides tools or tips to accomplish specific tasks.
To summarize, big problems are solved strategically and small problems are solved tactically.
Place your counters! The game has just begun!
4 - Use your expertise to predict the future
Who doesn't dream of predicting the future ? Yet can -to some extent!
With your expertise, you are surely able to know the future your industry.
If you have become an expert in your field over time, it is very likely that you have some ability to be able to predict what will change in your industry in the near or distant future.
He's an expert! Can't you tell?
You can become one of the thought leaders and influencers in our field.
This goal can't be achieved if you just produce the same content that is on every blog.
True influencers not only produce valuable content but also open up new perspectives and advance the debate.
This type of content requires a lot of energy but is highly valued by those who are interested in your business.
If you're not feeling psychic, that's okay! You can reach out to experts in your field and compile their answers to get a general trend. (This technique is still quite difficult, though, because you need to have some mastery of a topic yourself to be able to reach out to the pointers in that field).
5 - Make long content
According to this study conducted by serpIQ, the top 10 search results correspond to content between 2,000 and 2,500 words.
This survey of more than 20,000 keywords would suggest that Google favors longer content.
This allows you to give body to your content: by lengthening the content, you can also give it more structure and real added value.
